Remember this bike posted online, with a ‘rattan’ handmade seat used for a custom Honda TMX155 Cafe?
Well, we saw this one parked in Catanduanes, during the CRB held every year, making a surf, skate and music fest in the ‘Happy Island. Parked on the tents nearby, we saw the bike and we were quickly referred to Boyet Abrenica from Naga, Bicol.
Life must be hard for Boyet, sourcing parts for his custom bike, but that didn’t stop him from finishing this project. He shared us that he went through countless trial and error phase, burning a hole in his pocket. But persistence, willingness to learn and determination were were key attributes that propelled him to his next project already.
Trial And Error and the Internet
Boyet shared us that his project started off with a rotting ‘ex-tricycle’ Honda TMX155 converted to CDI, and was able to garner help from people on the mechanics and framework.
