While bigger bikes are okay, sometimes, yet maybe most of the time can be a pain in the ass when stuck in traffic. It gets tiring and your legs get slowly roasted by the engine heat emissions.
Michael Aguilar shares his experience, while he had fun taking his Kawasaki Z1000 on long rides, it also gave him a hard time squeezing it through the town traffic in Taytay Rizal. As a solution, he looked for a smaller displacement motorcycle and start a custom bike project.
He just simply got fed up. Most probably, one of the worst feelings of owning a motorcycle and still get stuck in traffic. What are the odds. He only wanted to build a bike that he could use everyday with comfort.
Michael consulted his good friend Romie Morales on where to buy parts for his project bike and he was pointed out to Caloocan. He got a Honda TMX 155 as a base for this Street Tracker.
“..Siya kasi yung isa sa pinakamaayos na mekaniko na kilala ko. Dinala nya ko sa Caloocan, dun namin binili halos lahat ng parts na kelangan ko sa “brat gero”, which I called my bike, na binuo ko for almost 1 month…”
He then consigned his bike in a nearby motorshop, Jay Cabreira, owner of Motozap, did the paint job.
With just over a month of labor, his project was done. Michael was happy with the result and with everything he spent on this one.
