Bike Feature: Classic Kawasaki HD3 125 ’01 Custom Restoration by MBM Brothers Dinalupihan, Bataan

4029

This right here, we share a pin-pointed discovery of relatives sharing their passion for classic motorcycles. A couple of hours of drive from Manila, we share this story of a small scale motor shop creating classics out of what’s available. As plenty as we see the ‘smokers’ or the HD3’s, we have already seen variations.

Must be a Philippine standard of donor bikes, yeah? We have shared a lot right here, getting trashed, old, worn out motorcycles revived and given a brand new name. Talk about being resourceful. We should be proud of ourselves I guess.

Putting Up Like Puzzle Pieces

Mark David Mendoza shares us.

“..yung may dating. Hindi nakakasawang tingnan, saka yung magmumukang bulky..”

From this base rotting bike, Mark told us that he began with the restoration process by changing and cleaning up the parts unnecessary. Thus he was able to attain the first version of this Kawasaki HD3.

Still not contented, Mark re-did this by replacing the tank and handles.

The color scheme was his preferred color. He also shared us that he was working close with his cousin on this bike.
