We embarked on a once in a lifetime journey last August to the Himalayas to conquer one of the highest motorable passes in the world, Khardung La. Together with Zandro Fajardo of OZ Racing and Photographer Jake Verzosa, we experience bliss, trials, and hardship as we scale the desert cold mountains riding the Royal Enfield Himalayan and Bullet 500.

The journey was off to a good start. We arrived in Leh at 10:00 AM. The sun was shining but the temperature is about 8 degrees. Glare and sun’s radiation might cause damage to our eyes. With the help of Oakley and its Prizm technology, I was able to ride smoothly without any problems in my vision.

After two months of that adrenaline-pumping adventure, we released the book”Road to Himalayas.” It’s the first-ever adventure riding inspired coffee table book that was published in the Philippines. With the support of our sponsors, Royal Enfield, Dan’s, OZ Racing and Oakley Philippines, we were able to fulfill it.

Lat November 15, 2019, we officially launched the Road to Himalayas Coffee table book and part one of Road to Himalayas at the Royal Enfield Showroom in Makati together with principals from Royal Enfield in HQ in Chennai, India. They were impressed with the project and they made sure that the book will be seen by their CEO.

Watch out for the part 2 of Road to Himalayas on Royal Enfield Facebook page and Cafe Racer Philippines IGTV @caferacerph.
